This song by the Beasties Boys overtly samples the song "The End" by the Beatles. At the two minute mark in "The Sounds of Science" the background music of the song makes a drastic change to the melody of "the End" by the Beatles. The Beastie Boys make no attempt to hide the Beatle's influence on their song, and the only change they make to the Beatle's music is adding the sound of a scratching record. By combining the rock and popular genre of the Beatles with the hip-hop song "the Sounds of Science", the Beastie Boys are linking the two genres.
